EATING OUT

Saturne

17 Rue Notre Dame des Victoires, 75002 Paris; +33 1 42 60 31 90, www.saturne-paris.fr
“This is one of four or five restaurants in Paris that are really good and really hard to move away from.” – Maud

Casa Bini

36 Rue Grégoire de Tours, 75006 Paris; +33 1 46 34 05 60, www.casabini.fr
“Around here you don’t really have lots of nice restaurants, but this Italian place is really good. It’s the best!”

Rose Bakery

46 Rue des Martyrs, 75009 Paris; +33 1 42 82 12 80 (Open for lunch only, Tue-Sun)
Due to the success of this English-style café, there are now Rose Bakeries in London, New York and in several Paris locations. They are renowned for their cakes but also do salads and brunches on the weekend. Maud says: “It’s not a new place anymore but still very good.”

Le Basilic

2 Rue Casimir Périer, 75007 Paris; +33 1 44 18 94 64, www.restaurant-le-basilic.fr
“It’s not far from here: they serve very typical, very good French food.”

BUYING IN

Raspail organic market

Boulevard Raspail, 75006 Paris (Open Sundays, 8am to 2pm)
“It has a really nice poissonnerie and you can buy Patibio bread here.”

Thé de Constance

15 Rue de la Paix, 75002 Paris; +33 1 42 61 90 34, www.lesthesdeconstance.com
Maud stocks this amazing tea in her shop but the company also has its own boutique on Rue de la Paix. “It’s a very small company but Constance, the young woman who runs it, is very dedicated – she goes to each country to talk to the producers.”

La Guinguette d’Angele

34 rue Coquillere 75001 Paris; www.laguinguettedangele.com (Open for lunch only)
“This is very cute little shop where you can buy takeaway lunches and get your energy for the day. I think it’s the best lunch in Paris; too bad you can’t sit in.”
